The Clinical Director

Dr Anthony Ordman
Senior Clinical Adviser and Hon. Medical Director

Founder of the highly respected Chronic Pain Clinic at London’s Royal Free Hospital, Dr Anthony Ordman is one of the UK’s most experienced specialists in the treatment of pain. For his contributions to Pain Medicine Dr Ordman was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2005, and he is Immediate past President of the Pain Medicine Section of the Royal Society of Medicine.

His expertise touches upon every area of pain; from spinal, musculoskeletal and nerve pain to post-surgical and trauma pain, and many areas of cancer related pain. Dr Ordman is also involved in pain management for rehabilitation and functional restoration after injury or serious illness. His belief in a patient-centred approach, sensitive to the individual needs of each person has had a strong influence on the Integro patient experience.

Dr Vinay Anjana Reddy (MBBS, FRCA, FFPMRCA, MACadMEd)
Consultant in Pain Medicine

Dr Vinay Anjana Reddy is a Consultant in Pain Medicine, Spinal Interventions and Anaesthesia. He has gone through training at St Barts and London, University College London and Royal Free Hospitals. He was also actively involved with Pain research and has published his work. Since then, he has held Consultant posts at various NHS trusts and Independent Hospitals. He also works as an independent advisor for many newly established pain services overseas.

Dr Anjana Reddy offers tailored service to each patient needs and expectations and he offers education, pain injections, medication optimisation and guidance about self-management strategies. He works closely with experts from other fields to help patients rehabilitate from painful conditions.

He has special interest is medical education and holds a membership of the academy of medical educators. He teaches regularly in national and international training courses for pain specialists.

Dr Basil Almahdi (MBBS, FRCA, FFPMRCA, MACadMEd)
Consultant in Pain Medicine

Dr Basil Almahdi qualified as a medical doctor in 1997. He completed his specialist training in London, and gained a higher degree in Pain Management at University College Hospital as a Fellow in pain medicine at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square.

He was a Locum Consultant at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore and The Pain Management Centre at University College Hospital, where he gained experience in managing complex spinal pain problems. He has since become a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at the Whittington Hospital where he currently practices covering both Acute and Chronic pain management.

He has numerous publications and has lectured nationally and internationally in his subject. His special interests are the minimally invasive treatment of problems caused by degenerative spinal disease including disc herniation, radiculopathies and spinal stenosis. He has a special interest in managing chronic pain syndromes and is also interested in the treatment of post operative pain, neuropathic pain, and palliative treatments for cancer pain.

Dr Almahdi is bilingual, also speaking Arabic fluently. He takes pride in his holistic approach to patient care, allowing patients to make considered decisions and agree a treatment plan. His emphasis on educating patients empowers patients to manage their pain in the best possible way.

 

Dr Sally Ghazaleh MD, EDAIC
Pain Management Consultant

Dr Sally Ghazaleh, is a Pain Management Consultant at the Whittington Hospital, and the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery, London . She qualified from the University of Szeged Medical School, Hungary in 2000, and then completed her specialist training in the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Semmelweis University in 2007. She went on a fellowship at University College Hospital, London, to gain her higher degree in Pain Medicine

During her time at the pain management Centre at University College Hospital, she gained extensive experience in dealing with and managing patients with complex multiple pain problems. She is accomplished at a variety of interventional and non-interventional treatments for this specific patient group.

Sally specializes in managing patients with lower back pain, neck pain, neuropathic pain, abdominal pain, cancer pain, complex regional pain syndrome, post-stroke pain and Fibromyalgia.  She has a particular interest in bladder and abdominal pain in women, and women’s health in general.  She is fluent in Arabic, English and Hungarian.

Dr Jones Kurian
Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Management

Following medical training in India and the UK, Dr Kurian specialised in anaesthesia. He has held registrar positions in hospitals across the UK as part of the South West Thames Anaesthetic Training Programme.

He went on to train in advanced interventional pain management techniques at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and at the International Spinal Intervention Society in the US.

He was appointed as Consultant Anaesthetist with special interest in pain medicine to the Surrey Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust in 2002. He is now in full time private practice.

Specialist Nurse

Sophie Hayes
Specialist Nurse

Sophie is a registered nurse who has specialised in Emergency and Acute Medicine. She has worked in A&E in Royal Sussex County Hospital, St Thomas’s Hospital and in Critical Care at Kings College Hospital.

Since 2014 Sophie has worked with Cannabis-patient advocacy organisations planning and working on campaigns and community events and taking delegations of patients to give testimony at parliament. She has spoken to countless patients about their cannabis use and has a wealth of knowledge from her own research and personal experience.

In 2019 Sophie Co-founded and launched the Nurses Arm of CPASS (Cannabis Patient Advocacy and Support Services) at the Royal College of Nursing. The goal of the organisation is to educate and support nurses in the field of Medical Cannabis as it rapidly progresses and changes.  She lives with her partner, who has used cannabis for Crohn’s disease, in NW London.

Neil Smith
Integro CEO & Chairman

Neil’s CV is a meeting place for many of the biggest names in the financial services industry. In a career spanning three decades he has worked with KPMG, The Institute of Chartered Accounts of Scotland, Credit Suisse and as a Senior Adviser for McKinsey & Co. He spent 21 of those years at Deutsche Bank, during which time he held Chief Operating Officer roles across every significant department including Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Security.

He was also CFO of the bank’s infrastructure operations and Head of Real Estate. Neil sits on the board of a number technology firms in addition to his work for Integro

Ashok Patel
Chairman IPS Pharma

A pharmacy graduate from Kings College in London, Ashok’s career has mixed pharma and entrepreneurial adventure for more than four decades. After acquiring a small pharmacy group, Ashok’s spirit for adventure led him into the business of unlicensed medicines with the founding of IPS Pharma. In 1984 he became a founding member of the Association of Parallel Importation of European Medicines, and subsequently imported medicines from across the EU for the UK wholesale market. In addition to his role as the Chairman of IPS Pharma, Ashok is a founding member, and Director of Vega Nutritional. Ashok uses passion, personality and all of his experience to bring organisations and people together.

Alan Carroll
Integro COO

Alan spent 13 years as a Chartered Accountant (CA) at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) before successfully going solo with his own consulting practice.

There is almost no sector he has not helped at some point in his career. He has worked in healthcare, banking, legal, financial services, government, retail and voluntary sectors amongst others.

Alan sits on the Board of a number of organisations in addition to his work for Integro.

Tony Dutta
CEO IPS Pharma

During a career spanning three decades Tony has worked for pharma companies of all sizes from SMEs to major manufacturers and service providers.

He has experience of managing Clinical trials, Pre-launching unlicensed medicines, Commercial launches and working with mature brands. Tony is driven by the need to put the patient at the centre of everything he does.

That focus helped him to successfully set up numerous international patient access solutions in markets all over the world.
